Creation
'Creation' was the first piece made in this series and the colors inspired the rest of the pieces. I made strong use of smudging tools to both recreate a sort of oil pastel effect but also to help sculpt the abstract shapes of the hill and the ripples in the water.
Beginning
I wanted something a little more luminous to follow, but my first attempt may have been a little too bright. I redrew the forms with a more intentional use of color and light, this time using the smudging function to blend the holographic highlights in the sapphire and create the brushed finish of the silver and gold.
